The Road to Pony Finals

Pony Finals is quickly approaching and many young equestrians across the country are looking foward to and preparing for this memorable event held annually at Kentucky Horse Park, Lexington KY.

There will be over 600 ponies attending this year competing in Small, Medium and Large pony hunters, both Regular and Green plus Pony Jumpers and a pony Medal (equitation). Ponies and riders must qualify for the event so it's quite an accomplishment just to go!

The event will take place August 8-13 with the hunter ponies showing in the Rolex arena, the pony jumpers in the Claiborne ring and the Pony Medal in the Alltech arena. Lots of other activities and clinics are offered to the exhibitors making it much more than a horse show. And there are tons of special awards given out to deserving young riders. For many kids, getting to Pony Finals fulfills a lifelong dream.
