These bits are made from 18/8 stainless steel and are available in 4 1/2 and 4 3/4 inches. The cheek length is 4 inches.
The Jointed Uxeter Kimberwicke is little more severe than the fixed mouth Uxeter Kimberwicke because of the broken mouthpiece. The Uxeter Kimberwicke is quite versatile and provides the rider with more stopping power when compared to the standard Kimberwicke. The slots in the cheek allow the rein to be placed on the top of the ring for a less severe effect or lower for a stronger result.

Kimberwick was a great buy
We are just starting a lease with a medium pony that has a hard mouth and no "brakes" - my trainer had suggested a Kimberwick and very helpful sales person helped me select the right one (jointed Uxeter). Works like a charm, pony is now suitable for my son to ride. Unknown on Mar 22nd 2019
