Tom Thumb Jointed Pelham, 4.5" & 4.75"

Tom Thumb pelhams have shorter cheeks and are a great size for ponies. The shorter cheeks provide for a milder action. These stainless steel bits are well constructed and moderately priced.

The Pelham Bit is more severe in its leverage action than a regular snaffle bit, providing extra control. The snaffle rein assists in lifting the pony's head while the bottom rein assists in leverage and flexion It is recommended that these bits always be used with their curb chain, which acts on the chin groove.
