Cruppers keep a saddle from sliding forward on a pony's back. This is a very common problem with well-rounded ponies or if riding down hills.

This traditional style crupper includes a tail piece that's nicely rounded and smooth for comfort. A leather 'T' fits into the saddle channel without causing damage to the saddle .
